Lipikaar and Baraha are both software that help you to type in different Indian languages on the PC. Lets see how they compare.
For starters, Lipikaar has a more interactive, self explanatory website with details about its various products . Baraha website, on the other hand, is not that user friendly.
Lipikaar supports 18 languages whereas Baraha supports 13 languages. But the main difference lies in the typing method. Lipikaar is based on a simple, intuitive SMS sytle typing method that can be picked up easily and does not require the user to be fluent in English or use keyboard stickers.
Baraha supports following typing methods: Phonetic Keyboard -this is based on transliteration and requires the user to know English well. Inscript Keyboard – this is based on keyboard designed by CDAC. It requires you to get familiar with the keyboard layout & mapping before you can start typing comfortably with this method.
Another main feature of Lipikaar is that it is backed by brilliant customer support & service. Both email and phone based support are available so users can reach out to the team whenever they have any problem or require any assistance. Baraha currently provides only email based support.
